Irwin & Lisa Trujillo (1,3) centinela@newmexico.com
We teach Chimayo weaving. It is the 20th century development with the 400 year-old Rio Grande weaving tradition of Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado. We encourage students to weave with limited planning involved, focusing on work growing on the loom. This is a tapestry technique well suited to spontaneity and requires a comfort with logical and mathematical thinking.
